The Ethnic Sustainable Tourism Association (AETHNIC) was born in 2006 with the mission of creating and promoting initiatives based on the criteria of responsible and sustainable tourism (Cape Town Declaration, 2002).
We believe that it is necessary to initiate a paradigm shift in the traditional tourism model, committed to local culture and identities, to global justice and respectful of the environment.
Tourism must contribute to the sustainable development of destinations, generating better living conditions for local populations.
Our projects and activities are aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). And always keeping in mind respect for Human Rights, the gender perspective and universal accessibility.
We are a team of people with years of experience working in different areas of sustainable tourism in Africa, Latin America and Asia, and in recent years also in Barcelona and Catalonia. We are travelers, and as such we know how to identify and respond to the needs of our travelers.
